Introduction

A couple of years ago at one of our groups operating events I seemed to have caught the passenger train bug.  One of our newest members dragged out his "Pennsy" passenger fleet.  He had the newest equipment from Walthers, Centrallia shops and Broadway Limited.  Boy they looked and ran great!  I couldn't believe the amount of detail they had and how well they ran.  Unfortunately we didn't have a passenger depot on our layout at that event.  In fact we only have one among all of our members.

Many years ago I lived in the upstate New York area where began to gain an appreciation for the New York Central, Lehigh Valley, and the Erie & Lackawanna railroads to name few. I modeled the Lehigh Valley in the past, but they didn't have much in passenger equipment or routes, so that was out.  Then I got thinking, we can have all of that "Pennsy" stuff running around on the layout without some competition.  Who was the "Pennsy" biggest rival, ... thats right the Central.  So the stage is set.

What this "blog" is not going to be is a prototype correct everything.  Don't get me wrong, I like being as close as possible to the prototype but I only have so much time left on planet earth.  I don't want to spend it super detailing everything I model.  Not to mention I tend to get board over time with certain projects, just ask some of my friends.
